My name is Michele Szkolnicki and I love what I do!

Michele Szkolnicki, RN, FACHE, CMPE
 (She/Her)

Over the years, I have finally figured out why.

Working in an industry as complex as healthcare, so many different experts are needed to deliver the best possible care to people at their most vulnerable moments: both the clinical experts who guide and deliver the care, and the business experts who create the sustainable framework within which it is delivered. In my career, I have had the opportunity to straddle both of these aspects; first as an RN, and then as an administrator.

What I love most about what I do is the opportunity to collaborate and learn from all these experts. As a healthcare leader, it is also the opportunity to serve these experts.

Hence this blog – another way to bring ideas together so that we can help each other. The wisdom of teams is paramount to success.

The most tremendous accomplishments in my career have all occurred because a powerful team was assembled and engaged – powerful because team members were empowered, because every thought and opinion mattered, and because each team member saw the vision and owned the success.

I am excited to launch a forum to bring ideas together in a collaborative, conversational, and thoughtful way. Let’s see what we learn from each other!
